The Jasper Eagles enter the 2026 football season looking to turn a 4-6 campaign into a foundation for progress. Head coach Justin Sentlinger and assistants Jonathan Nash and Travis Storm have a roster that combines speed, size and depth, giving the Eagles confidence as they prepare for a demanding schedule.

Jasper returns three starters on each side of the ball, but the program’s outlook is strengthened by a number of young contributors who are ready for expanded roles. The Eagles will emphasize the details that create consistency—assignment discipline, physicality, ball security and effort from snap to whistle. Just as important, the team is working to develop a strong sense of pride that can carry from week to week and help the group grow throughout the season.

Offensively, Jasper will operate primarily from the I formation and look to play fast while staying true to a sound option-based attack. Sophomore quarterback Colt Storm will guide the offense, bringing experience and versatility to the backfield. Storm is also expected to make an impact defensively, giving the Eagles a two-way athlete capable of contributing in several areas.

Senior Keilen Greene is a key returning presence at running back and linebacker. His combination of size, athleticism and experience should provide stability for Jasper on both sides of the football. Freshman running back Easton Pettibon joins the offensive backfield and could add a physical element at 5-foot-8 and 185 pounds.

The offensive line will be a major piece of the Eagles’ identity. Sophomore Baylor Rush brings strength to the front, while senior Gaige Mitchell gives Jasper an imposing option at 6-foot-5 and 250 pounds. Mitchell’s ability to line up on the offensive line or at tight end provides flexibility for an offense built around the run game, option principles and creating favorable matchups.

Defensively, the Eagles will base out of a 2-4 alignment designed to maximize the roster’s speed and athleticism. Greene and junior Haiden Warner will help lead the linebacker group, while junior Wyatt Mahurin adds range in the secondary. Senior Craig Zuber returns to the field after missing last season and gives Jasper another experienced defensive back. Storm can also contribute at linebacker or defensive back, adding depth to a unit that will look to pursue the football, play aggressively and create momentum-changing plays.

With returning leadership, developing youth and solid depth across the roster, Jasper has the ingredients to take a step forward. If the Eagles continue to sharpen the little things and build their team identity, they have an opportunity to make the 2026 season a memorable one.
