Offense/Defense:

In a recent interview with Missouri Prep Sports Tigers football coach Jared Beshore shared “Our expectation for each team has not changed from year-to-year. We want everyone involved in our football program to put in the time and effort necessary to earn the right to be called a champion!  

This season will provide opportunities for playing time for younger players and upperclassmen that have waited for their turn. It is important that everyone understands there will be a learning curve for those less experienced players as they grow into their new roles as varsity level players and learn our system/schemes.

On defense, we return our entire defensive line from a year ago, but need to replace half of our defensive backfield, and develop a few LB’s to compete for open spots and create depth. Identifying and developing our linebacking corp and defensive backs is a priority for this off season.  

On offense, we return experienced players at both the skill and line positions that played high quality snaps last season, but lost 8 starters on the offensive side to graduation, which included some key leaders for our offense. There are opportunities in multiple areas for some of our less experienced/younger players to make an impact on our team. Those returning starters will be counted on to provide positive influence and our 31 returning lettermen will be counted on to fill the open starting positions, and more importantly to build depth for our program. 

On ST we return our starting punter and placekicker.  

Our football team openly promotes themselves as “THE BROTHERHOOD”. Our expectation for our team is very high in trying to live up to that word academically, athletically, socially and spiritually, and to do it every day in every way.”
