Louden Bolinger has built his reputation at Webb City High School the same way he plays offensive tackle, with consistency, discipline and a focus on doing the work others might overlook.

The senior credits much of that mindset to his father, who he says has been his biggest inspiration. “He is always working no matter the current situation faced,” Bolinger said. “That’s something I try to carry with me every day.”

On the field, Bolinger anchors the offensive line, where his role demands both physical strength and quick decision-making. He describes the most difficult part of playing tackle as “blocking linebackers in space,” a challenge that requires agility as much as power. Still, it’s a responsibility he embraces as part of the team’s larger mission.

“What I enjoy most is the relationship built by all of us having a common goal on the field of play,” he said.

Bolinger’s appreciation for teamwork is rooted in experiences that have shaped him throughout his career. One of his most vivid memories came in a rivalry win. “Beating Joplin at Junge Field for the first time in years,” he said, recalling a moment that stood out not just for the result, but for what it represented.

He has also taken lessons from teammates, particularly former varsity center Sean Hunt. “He played through injuries because he knew he was an important part of his team,” Bolinger said. “That stuck with me.”

Off the field, Bolinger is just as committed to growth. A fan of math and a supporter of teacher Bobby Stafford, he values the discipline academics bring to his daily routine. When he’s not in class or at practice, he enjoys golfing and spending time in the community.

Bolinger also gives back by helping with youth football and track activities, working with younger athletes who hope to follow a similar path. “I like being around the upcoming athletes,” he said.

His approach to athletics is rooted in initiative. “Don’t wait for the opportunity, create the opportunity,” he said, a philosophy that reflects both his work ethic and leadership style.

Whether preparing for a game or navigating everyday life, Bolinger keeps things simple. “Relax, don’t think too much,” he said of his pregame routine.

From the classroom to the field, Bolinger’s steady presence and commitment to improvement have made him a key part of Webb City’s program and a player determined to make the most of every opportunity he earns.
