OUTLOOK
The Carthage Lady Tigers enter the 2025–26 season in a period of transition, but one head coach Scott Moore embraces with excitement and confidence. “We graduated all five starters from last year’s team, so we are going to look a lot different on the court this season. We are excited about the players we have returning and the young players we have coming up from the junior high. We will be a fun team to watch play with a great group of girls representing our program.”
Carthage’s roster features a mix of experienced upperclassmen and promising underclassmen. Returning contributors include Ashleigh Rowden (5-7, Sr., F), Isamar Rodas (5-7, Sr., F), London Shepherd (5-8, Jr., G/F), Riley Cochran (5-8, Jr., F), and Kylinn Stonebraker (5-9, Jr., F), all of whom bring size, athleticism, and versatility to the floor. Sophomores Halle Endicott (5-10, So., G), Maiah Williams (5-2, So., G), and Lynae Merrill (5-5, So., G/F) also look to take on expanded roles, along with freshmen Zoe Williams (5-3, Fr., G), Allie Brown (5-6, Fr., G), and Kaidence Stiles (5-3, Fr., G).
At the center of Carthage’s attack is sophomore standout Halle Endicott (5-10, So., G), who brings size, scoring ability, and experience to the backcourt. “Halle will be looked upon to be a major scorer for us this season. She has great size for a guard and shoots the 3 comfortably from long range. Her best asset is her motor; she’s constantly moving on the offensive end. That makes her a tough person to guard over the course of a game.” Moore added that her impact extends far beyond scoring: “Halle is a great student and a very positive influence on our team and in our school. She started several games last year as a freshman, therefore, one of our most experienced players returning.”
Freshman point guard Zoe Williams (5-3, Fr., G) is the program’s underclassman to watch, stepping immediately into a major leadership role. “Zoe is a freshman, but she will jump right into our starting lineup this year as our point guard. She proved more than capable of those duties this summer and we are excited to have her running the show for us.” Moore holds high expectations for his floor general. “The toughest position to play for me is starting point guard. I put a lot of pressure and responsibility on the point guard to be the leader of our team on both ends of the floor.” He believes Zoe is uniquely equipped for the challenge: “Zoe has the physical skills and mental makeup to handle that. She’s an excellent ball handler, great passer, finishes well around the rim and may be one of our best outside shooters. It’ll be fun to see her growth this year and in her four years here.”
