Hadley Hilburn brings energy, determination, and heart to everything she does at Seneca High School. As a sophomore competing in both track and cheerleading, she has already established herself as a dedicated athlete who thrives on teamwork and constant improvement. Whether she’s sprinting in the 4×200 and 4×400 relays or competing in the high jump and long jump, Hilburn embraces every opportunity to grow.
“Going to practice with my teammates every day and getting to work with them is what motivates me.”
That sense of connection fuels her drive, but her foundation starts at home. Hilburn credits her parents as her biggest role models, pointing to their unwavering support as a key reason she continues to push forward in both athletics and life.
“My parents support me in everything I do.”
Her journey has also been shaped by strong mentorship at school. Coach Crane has played a major role in helping her reach new levels, constantly encouraging her to push beyond her limits and believe in her abilities.
“Coach Crane always pushes me to my best ability.”
Hilburn’s success hasn’t come easily. It’s been built through consistent effort and a mindset that refuses to quit, even when challenges arise.
“Practicing and not giving up is what it takes.”
One of her proudest moments came early in her high school career, qualifying for state in both the 4×400 relay and high jump as a freshman, sharing the experience with her closest teammates.
“Going to state with my best friends was my highlight.”
Outside of competition, Hilburn stays active in her community through Racine Christian Church while balancing the demands of school and sports. She understands the importance of time management, making sure she stays on top of her academics so she can fully commit to her training.
“I try to use my time wisely so I can focus on track after school.”
Inspired by athletes like Tara Davis, she believes in the value of hard work and trusts that dedication will pay off. Representing Seneca means something special to her, especially with the strong support system behind every athlete.
“Our community always shows up, and that means everything when we compete.”
