Marionville’s Katlin Carr – Athlete Spotlight – Presented by Uplink

Marionville softball player Katlin Carr spoke to Prep Sports in a recent interview where she shared “My favorite part of this team is being able to play with all of my friends. It’s my last ride with all of these girls and I can’t wait to see where this season takes us. This year I get to play my first and last year with my little sister Ashlin Carr. This year will definitely be one to remember”.

Carr is also involved in “FBLA as the president because I’m passionate about developing leadership skills while also helping fellow members do the same. I also serve as an officer in FCCLA to engage in community service projects and help the people around me. As the vice president of the National Honor Society, I strive to uphold academic excellence and contribute to meaningful service initiatives. My involvement in the student council allows me to be a voice for students and positively contribute to the school”.

She has even participated in her school’s “yearly trash clean-up, volunteering to help with FCCLA at the manor in Marionville, and hosting blood drives with FBLA”.

According to Carr ” My parents inspire me to be my best each and every day. They inspire me by always being at my games. Knowing that they will always be there gives me confidence in my ability. They also teach me many life lessons that go beyond any sports. They provide me with constant support and encouragement”.

Going forward she hopes to “win a district title for my senior year. Another goal I have this year is to be a good leader for all of the underclass men. This year I also want to focus on being mentally tough and keeping a positive mindset. My ultimate goal this year is to have fun playing with this team one last time”.
