Webb City runner Chase Stilley recently completed an interview with Prep Sports sharing “My favorite part of being on this team is the connections I’ve made with my teammates and coaches”. Going on to explain that “My sport has taught me how to perform under pressure, not only in track but also in school. It has taught me how to work with others and how to talk in groups of people”.
This season, Stilley is working “to maintain good grades, work on my mental health, learn to manage my anxiety in a healthy way, and to do the best I can in track and field”. She also shared that she wants to be the best person she can be to make her parents proud.
To accomplish these things she relies on “the best advice she has received” saying “you should always work hard because you will get the outcome you want if you put in the work”. Something she also put in to practice to achieve a high point in her athletic career “breaking the school record in the 4 x 1 last track season”.
