Q&A with Joplin’s Quin Renfro – Athlete Spotlight – Presented by Shelter Insurance’s Bill Williams

Joplin football player Quin Renfro spoke to PREP SPORTS in a recent interview.

PREP SPORTS: What are your personal goals for the year?

My goals this year are too go to state for long jump in track, and get my body as ready as possible for college.

PREP SPORTS: What is your favorite athletic memory?

My favorite athletic memory is hitting a full court game winner against Carthage in basketball.

PREP SPORTS: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?

Probably my brother, he was a good teammate and guided me through a lot my freshman year.

PREP SPORTS: What is your favorite part of being on this team?

My favorite part about being on the team this year was the relationships that I built and the chemistry we had on and off the field.

PREP SPORTS: Do you participate in any community service projects?

I serve for the salvation army on occasional weekends.

PREP SPORTS: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?

Sports has taught me that when adversity hits you just have to keep trusting in your work and believe in yourself.

PREP SPORTS: What is the best advice that anyone has given you?

The best advice anyone has given me is that trust your own process, and everyone has their own timing.

PREP SPORTS: Who inspires you and why?

I can’t name anyone in specific who inspires me, besides God.

I wanna thank my family and teammates for supporting me throughout everything. I wouldn’t be the same person without these people.
