Webb City’s Jonah Spieker recently completed an interview with Prep Sports to share who he is.
PREP SPORTS: What are your personal goals for the year?
Personally this year I want to help lead my team to another state championship, that is more important to me than all-state or all conference honors. But I definitely aim work for those honors this year.
PREP SPORTS: What is the most fun you have had in the last year?
The most fun I had all year was when we played Neosho and I had a bunch of pancake blocks.
PREP SPORTS: What is your favorite athletic memory?
My favorite athletic memory was become a state champion in 2021.
PREP SPORTS: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
Skyler Denton had a large impact on me because he embraced his role as a senior blocking tight end even though it was not a glorious thing to do. His model had helped with my mentality of doing what is best for the team. I love the brotherhood that a team brings.
PREP SPORTS: You can pick any place for a summer vacation. Where do you go, and who do you take with you?
If I could vacation anywhere with anyone, I would go to the beach with my grandparents and cousins and go jet skiing.
PREP SPORTS: If we gave you $500 and you had to spend it in the next 24 hours, what would you spend it on?
If I had $500 to spend, I would take my friends and family to the lake to make memories.
PREP SPORTS: What Clubs or Campus groups are you involved with and why?
I participate in a local church youth group. I was a Missouri class 5 academic all state athlete.
