
Webb City’s Colton Taylor recently completed an interview with Prep Sports where he spoke about who he is on and off the field.
PREP SPORTS: What are your personal goals for the year?
My goals are to go win state for football and help the team as much as I can.
PREP SPORTS: What is the most fun you have had in the last year?
The most fun I have is just getting up and hanging out with the team and just building a brotherhood and getting better with my team all the way from July to now has been great and I see it just getting better everyday.
PREP SPORTS: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade, and why?
Middle school Mrs. Bever – because she was always awesome to me and help me get through middle school and I don’t think I ever had a bad day in her class.
PREP SPORTS: What is your favorite athletic memory?
It would be when I was in a bubble match in wrestling to go to state and ended up pinning the kid and I knew I was headed to state.
PREP SPORTS: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
I think it would be buddy Belcher I think this because he always had a great attitude and always made it fun and him just being there for me when he was in high school I just could not ask of a better man to have practiced with.
PREP SPORTS: What is your favorite part of being on this team?
Favorite thing about football is just like I said the brother hood we build and knowing many years down the road we will still have each others back.
PREP SPORTS: You can pick any place for a summer vacation. Where do you go, and who do you take with you?
I would go to Cozumel and take my family and friends and just have a great time.
PREP SPORTS: If we gave you $500 and you had to spend it in the next 24 hours, what would you spend it on?
I think right now I would like to take my buddies out and just go buy stuff and have a great dinner.
PREP SPORTS: Do you participate in any community service projects?
I do miracle league in Joplin and it is just a great time hanging out with kids with special needs and seeing the battles they go thorough everyday and just helping them have a great day makes me feel good.
PREP SPORTS: Are you involved in academic excellence activities such as the National Honor Society, Student Council, or other academic clubs?
Yes I am in student council and it is a great opportunity to help the school and is ran by a great teacher Mrs. Peak .
